Kelsey Boehme

Student and Teacher

A native of Oregon who grew up rock climbing, backpacking, and canoeing, Kelsey Boehme is a ProSales and Management Information Systems double major who loves to teach and be taught. She values intellectual curiosity and seeks to better understand the world around her. As a musician, she has been a piano soloist, a jazz musician, and she sang a classical repertoire in a concert choir that took top state honors.

A mentor and instructor in Baylor’s Outdoor Adventure Learning and Living Community, Kelsey instructs freshmen on outdoor skills and ethics. One of her favorite memories is teaching a student to canoe on the Rio Grande; she remembers the joy of seeing the student navigate a rapid after beginning the day with no paddling experience.

Her time in ProSales has taught her to be grateful for adversity, how to both mentor and be mentored, to listen well which improves her interactions with others, and to admire and learn from a variety of peers. Her favorite aspect of the program is the way collaboration and competition work hand-in-hand to foster growth and accountability. Kelsey is thankful for the faculty and staff who have poured into her and equipped her to teach others what she has learned and will learn in her future career.
