Your Instructors:
Sara Perry, PhD
Sara Jansen Perry, PhD, is a Management professor at Baylor University, leading the Human Resource Management major. She teaches conflict resolution, negotiation, talent acquisition and employee relations at the executive, MBA and undergraduate levels, including in Study Abroad settings all around the world.
Her research on employee stress and well-being, especially in remote and hybrid work, is published in top journals. She has been consulted by major media and organizations on remote work strategies and has spoken at numerous conferences on topics related to her research. Perry received the 2025 Inaugural Global Engagement Award and the 2023 Brent Clum Research Award, both in the Hankamer School of Business.
Perry holds a PhD and MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Missouri.
Mykka Fisher, DBA
Mykka Fisher, DBA, is a professor of Management at Baylor University, where she teaches courses in Leadership and Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Training and Development. She brings more than two decades of executive experience to the classroom, having served as director of Human Resources for firms in the financial services and manufacturing sectors. Her professional expertise spans the full spectrum of HR functions - including compensation and benefits, legal compliance, organizational development, recruiting and employee training - with particular depth in strategic labor relations and union contract negotiations.
Fisher holds a BBA from Baylor University, an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, an LLM from Leiden University in the Netherlands and a DBA from Liberty University, where she specialized in International Business. Fisher’s current research explores Cultural Intelligence (CQ) in international business settings, with a focus on identifying and strengthening the competencies essential for success in global leadership and cross-border collaboration.
