Admitted Students
You are officially a Baylor Bear - WELCOME! Here is some information you need to get your Baylor Online MSBA off to a great start.
Step 1: Complete the Admissions Process:
Reply to Your Offer of Admission - You will need to accept or decline the Offer of Admission into the program. You can do so in the Forms portion of the Application Status section of your application portal.
Official Application Documents - If you were admitted with unofficial transcripts and test scores, you are required to send official, final documents to Graduate Admissions by the first day of class or a hold will be placed on your registration for the following term.
Once all official documents are received, the admissions process is complete.
Step 2: Activate Baylor Accounts
Bear ID - A Bear ID is an electronic identifier created uniquely for every student at Baylor and is generally in the form of firstname_lastname#. Your Bear ID and password are the keys to accessing your Baylor email account. Upon completion of the admissions process, you are eligible to activate your Baylor email account. Once you are enrolled, your Baylor email account will serve as your primary means of communication with Business School faculty and staff.
Baylor ID No. - Your Baylor ID number is a 9-digit number used for identification. You will receive this number via email. It can also be found on your Student ID card.
BearWeb - You must activate your BearWeb student account. BearWeb is Baylor's secure online portal for access to your information about financial aid, grades and transcripts and course registration as well as personal information such as addresses, phone numbers and emergency contacts.
Step 3 - Submit Required Forms
Tuition Scholarship - If you received a Scholarship award, you would have received a scholarship letter along with your acceptance letter. You will need to accept or decline the Scholarship in the Forms portion of the Application Status page of your application portal.
Health Insurance - All graduate students are required to maintain health insurance, and you will automatically be enrolled in the plan. If you already have health insurance, you must submit a waiver. The waiver process must be completed before the close of the open enrollment period. See the AHP website for dates.
Step 4 - Secure Financial Aid (Federal Loans)
Financial Aid – If you plan to pursue financial aid to help with costs, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA opens annually on October 1st, so you can start the process before acceptance to the MSBA program. Learn more via Baylor's Student Financial Services.
Scholarship Universe - Scholarship Universe is a helpful new resource to connect Baylor current and admitted prospective students to millions of dollars in outside scholarship opportunities. Based on your completed questionnaire, you will be matched with outside scholarship opportunities in the database tailored to your talents and specific criteria.
Step 5: Orientation and Registration
Advisement – All new students are required to attend a virtual Advising Appointment prior to registering for courses. You will learn more about the program as well as create a course plan to complete the program tailored to your needs.
Orientation - Complete the online orientation in the MSBA Headquarters in Canvas, the Learning Management System (LMS) for all of your program/course information. The HQ contains a wealth of information on topics such as course information, registration, degree plans, books, syllabi, technology, etc. Access to the HQ Orientation Course is typically granted 3-4 days after you are accepted to the program. Please watch your email for information about when you can access your orientation course.
Registration – After you have completed your advisement appointing, you can register for courses via BearWeb.
If you have accessibility issues, reach out to the Baylor Office of Access and Learning Accommodation. Baylor is committed to assuring equal access in all aspects of the college experience.
Step 6: Financial Settlement
Pay your charges - Once you are registered for a term, you will receive an email from the Student Accounts Office containing instructions for viewing your charges and fulfilling your financial obligation for each term you attend Baylor.
