Entrepreneur: This list by Entrepreneur Magazine ranks the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship in the top 50 entrepreneurship programs for undergraduate students worldwide. 

Baylor Entrepreneurship ranked No. 8 for the 2024 Best Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs by U.S. News & World Report, marking 15 consecutive years in the top 10. Additionally, it secured the No. 4 spot in the 2024 TCU Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings.

Peter Klein, PhD, a department chair at Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business, received the 2024 Mentor Award from the Academy of Management (AOM) earlier this month.

The Hankamer School of Business (HSB) at Baylor University hosted the New Venture Competition (NVC) this past weekend at the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. NVC, presented by HSB’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation, allows collegiate teams of entrepreneurs from around the world to showcase their business plans and compete for cash prizes and resources. 

Baylor fans have come to count on seeing BU among the top 25 each year, with Bears competing with the nation’s most prestigious programs for national recognition.

That applies to athletics (like our currently No. 13-ranked men’s basketball and No. 18-ranked women’s basketball programs), and to academics — like the Baylor entrepreneurship program, which once again ranks among the best in the nation according to multiple sources:

WACO, Texas (Oct. 10, 2023) –The Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation within Baylor University’s nationally ranked Hankamer School of Business moved up to No. 3 in the world and the highest-ranked program in Texas for research productivity in the 2023 TCU Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings, the only research-focused ranking of entrepreneurial programs.

The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation honors the accomplishments and contributions of outstanding business leaders in our state by celebrating their impact in both business and community.

Baylor University, along with venture capital firm Waco Ventures and Blueprints Labs, has formed the Lab to Market Collaborative (L2M) to bring innovative ideas and technologies out of university halls and into the market.

"I started (Acute Accents) the summer before my freshman year of college," Meinershagen said. "I wasn’t doing it super seriously, just as a fun hobby. Then when I came to college, I joined Oso Launch, which is this mentorship cohort, like an incubator program. They helped me to really form a business plan and to work out the kinks to make it more professional."

Oso Launch, a cohort of student entrepreneurs in the Hankamer School of Business, supports students in building "their ventures together through mentorship, networking, business planning and practical entrepreneurship exercises."
