Participating in a sales competition scheduling on top of Baylor’s Homecoming weekend is difficult, especially in one’s senior year. However, Alec Galbraith stepped in to replace a student who stepped away from competing due to the Homecoming conflict. “No amount of words can describe this feeling! I was selected late as a replacement due to the competition happening over our homecoming weekend. I knew this was an amazing opportunity to showcase the greatness of the Baylor ProSales Program. All of this would not have been possible if not for the coaching from Dr. Swan and my fellow student coaches, along with the training the ProSales Program has provided me. I am still speechless, and all I can say is thank you to my family, friends, and the ProSales Program for supporting me!” shared Alec about his first-place finish.

When Baylor participates in sales competitions at other universities, the ProSales program leverages a system of student and faculty coaches. Chloe Carlson (Junior) and two Seniors, Erica Ginaven and Hunter Larson, served as the student coaches. Dr. Eric Swan created a focus on learning and winning in his role as the faculty coach.

As a result of the three competitors’ efforts, Baylor outscored all other teams to take the first place team finish. Participating universities included Arizona State University, Aurora University, Baylor University, Florida State University, Illinois State University, Kansas State University, Kennesaw State University, Louisiana State University, Marquette University, Morehouse College, Northern Illinois University, Purdue University, University of Central Florida, University of Cincinnati, University of Minnesota-Duluth, University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, University of South Carolina, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, University of Wyoming and Winona State University.
