Four students representing the Hankamer School of Business placed fourth at the 8th Annual National Undergraduate Supply Chain Case Competition this month.

Jenna Cwalina, Davis Jackson, Will Scheffe and Travis Thompson made their own "Final Four" run through the competition, hosted virtually by the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. The team had 24 hours to prepare solutions based on the case study "Quantum Frontiers: To Boldly Go."

"I remind the students every day on the job is a case study and they need to be a solution looking for a business problem to solve," Pedro Reyes, associate professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and advisor for the team, said. "The team prepared well and it is no secret that hard work does pay off."

The event was a boundless learning opportunity for the competitors, Reyes said. He is extremely proud of their accomplishments.
