Leadership Changes Support Hankamer School of Business Key Initiatives

Dean Sandeep Mazumder announced a series of leadership changes at the Hankamer School of Business. These additions are key to Mazumder's initiatives for the Business School: purposeful research, experiential and innovative learning, and Christ-centered diversity.

"Great things are happening at Baylor University and the Hankamer School of Business plays a crucial role in this," Mazumder, the William E. Crenshaw Endowed Dean, said. "The recent additions and adjustments to our leadership will ensure we further position ourselves as a top-tier research institution where every voice can be heard."

Dr. Mitch Neubert

Dr. Mitch Neubert has been promoted to senior associate dean of Research and Faculty Development effective Jan. 1. Neubert will maintain the current responsibilities while taking on several new areas. Neubert will play a large role in overseeing AACSB and SACS accreditation reports and reviews and will also work closely with HSB department chairs.

Dr. Cindy Wu

Dr. Cindy Wu has been appointed as the inaugural associate dean for Diversity and Inclusion. Wu will be responsible for identifying where efforts need to be concentrated to make the Business School better represent Christ-centered diversity. She will begin this role on July 1, 2022.

Dr. Patsy Norman

Dr. Patsy Norman has been appointed as the associate dean for Graduate Programs effective Jan. 1. Norman is familiar with the existing graduate programs and has a high-level of expertise and passion for the students. She will serve a three-and-a-half-year term.

Dr. Dawn Carlson

Dr. Dawn Carlson has been chosen as the next director of the McBride Center for International Business effective Jan. 1. Carlson has been a long-time faculty member of the Department of Management, where she has led many study-abroad programs. She will serve as co-director along with current Director Steve Gardner before fully taking over the role on July 1, 2022.

Dr. Tyrha Lindsey-Warren

Dr. Tyrha Lindsey-Warren will take up the newly-created role of faculty director of Industry Relations and Experiential Learning in the Undergraduate Programs organization. Lindsey-Warren will bring her expertise on partnering with businesses in the classroom to the faculty and programs at the Business School. She will begin this role on Feb. 1, 2022.

Dr. Matthew Quade has been appointed as the director of the Leadership and Ethics Suite effective Jan. 1. Quade has assisted in this role under Neubert for a number of years and will continue to build upon the work already done in this area.
