Professional Summary
Jim Anderson is an active clinical practitioner with ongoing experience in global business development, international marketing and management, and social enterprise. He first taught Professional Selling as an adjunct professor in 2004 and has continuously taught International Marketing since 2009. In 2010, Anderson led MBA students in a 3M sponsored base-of-the pyramid competition regarding the deployment of hand-held millet grain milling machines in sub-Saharan Africa, a demonstration of the application of practical solutions for developing markets. In 2011, Anderson began to lead the newly-created Baylor Business Global Connection, a part of the McBride Center for International Business, which was established to better connect with global alumni and friends of Baylor living abroad. In 2015, he began renewed work with the Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) of Houston as the primary liaison between BCM and Hankamer School of Business. He has worked since that time on BCM’s project for improved maternal and childbirth health in The Gambia and visited The Gambia with BCM teams in 2016 and 2019 supported by a grant received through the Baylor Social Innovation Collaborative (BAY-SIC). Anderson teaches both international and nonprofit marketing classes utilizing simulated enterprises and was the founding sponsor for Baylor Business Connect, a globally -focused student organization. He owns and operates ETCetera International, Inc., an export management company, and serves on boards of both the North Texas District Export Council and the National Association of District Export Councils.
