Admissions
Who should apply?
We encourage applications from candidates with a variety of backgrounds. To be eligible for admission to the PhD in Entrepreneurship Program, applicants must hold a master's degree in a business or another discipline that meets the common body of knowledge (CBK) requirements for business degrees.
Candidates not meeting CBK requirements may be required to take Integrated Management Seminars BUS 5901, BUS 5902, and MGT 5310.
When can I apply?
The PhD in Entrepreneurship Program admits students for the fall semester each even-numbered year. Potential candidates must have their application packets complete by January 15 to receive full consideration for admission as well as financial aid.
Completed applications received after published deadlines will not be reviewed for the upcoming year.

Essays
Personal essays allow applicants to express their unique qualifications, experiences, and reasons for pursuing a PhD and an academic career. Essays should be prepared carefully, using details and specific examples.
Resume
A current resume is requested, specifically describing work experiences, activities, honors, and awards.
Letters of Recommendation
Applicants must provide letters of recommendation from two people who know them well and can present balanced evaluations and assessments. The best recommendations are usually from former professors.
Transcripts
Applicants should also provide official transcript(s) from every college attended.
Application Fee
A $50 non-refundable fee, payable by credit card or check, is required to process each application.
GMAT/GRE/TOEFL
Applicants must complete the GMAT (preferable) or GRE exam. There is no minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement. NOTE: Unofficial copies of the test scores are acceptable for the evaluation process. Students who are not U.S. citizens must take the TOEFL test*.
*Students with an undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. university may be exempt from the TOEFL.
International Applicant Requirements
English Language Tests
All foreign national and permanent resident applicants must provide a score from either the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic.
Foreign Transcripts
If you are an international applicant, or attended a foreign university, please follow the guidelines for foreign transcripts available on the Graduate School website.
Acceptance to the Program
Upon admission to the Program, you will receive notification of acceptance from the Baylor Graduate School as well as the PhD in ENT Program Director.
The Graduate School letter will outline conditions of acceptance, information on financial awards, as well as other general information pertaining to student housing and various student-related services.
The letter from the Program Director will provide Entrepreneurship program-specific details that will be important to you prior to the start of fall classes.
