Study Abroad
Students need global experiences as part of their business education in this ever-growing and interconnected world. One way students can have these valuable experiences is through a study-abroad program, which allows students to take classes for their Baylor degree plan while they develop an international perspective and learn about business practices in different cultures. The Hankamer School of Business has many opportunities for students to find the right study-abroad program.
Business faculty members lead programs abroad, allowing Baylor students to develop deep friendships as they travel and navigate a new culture together. In these programs, students travel with faculty to visit businesses in different cultures so they can learn about international business experientially. Previous faculty-led programs offered through the business school include summer sessions in Singapore, South Korea, Australia, and England. These opportunities allow students to explore the world while earning course credits toward their Baylor degree. Learn about the exciting study-abroad programs Hankamer faculty are preparing for Baylor students.
Baylor also partners with international institutions and universities to connect students across the globe through their studies. On these experiences, students travel alone or to a partner university where they meet other students from around the globe. Previous partners include St. Louis University in Spain; Seinan Gakuin University in Japan; and Monterrey Tec in Queretaro, Mexico. Each program features courses that work within the Baylor business degree plans.
In addition to the numerous study-abroad programs offered in the business school, students can obtain global experience through international internships and business as mission programs. Students can also take on-campus classes with global partnerships or projects with university students in another country. Students can take advantage of multiple global opportunities such as these to earn a Global Engagement Certificate in Business, which appears on their transcripts.
The Hankamer School of Business prepares students to serve the global marketplace, and to that end every Baylor business student should study abroad or participate in global engagement activities.
