Co-Curricular Programs and Resources
Within the Hankamer School of Business, we provide programs and resources that amplify our distinctive Christian mission. We realize that so much of a student’s formative college experience happens outside of the classroom. As such, during their time in the HSB, we want to provide opportunities for students to deepen their Christian faith in addition to their experiences in the classroom.
Therefore, we design programs and offer resources that emphasize our love for Christ and our desire to equip students to become the next generation of Christian leaders. We are always looking for ways to deepen students’ professional and personal development rooted in Christian faith. A few examples of our co-curricular programs are highlighted below.
Peer Leader Program
The Billington Peer Leader Program serves, supports, and encourages first-year business students as they navigate their college transition. Incoming students are led by upperclassmen who provide mentorship and guidance while walking with students through a Christ-centered curriculum to help them settle into life as a business student. |
Faith and Business Chapel
The Faith and Business Chapel explores what it means to be an ambassador for Christ in the marketplace. Faculty, staff, and student leaders facilitate scripture study in small-group settings to foster community and discuss integrating faith into career and work life. |
Embedded Chaplain
The HSB embedded chaplain serves as a resource for students. The chaplain assists the HSB community by offering support and spiritual guidance. The chaplain is also equipped to assist students in times of crisis. The current HSB chaplain is James Corbin. |
