Certificate in Global Business
Add a global element to your business education by earning a Certificate in Global Business. This business-focused path helps you enhance your major area of study and requires 12 hours of globally relevant courses and one global business engagement activity. The Certificate in Global Business shows prospective employers you have a global perspective and are on the road to worldwide leadership. If you have studied abroad or have taken international business classes at Baylor, you have already met a requirement for the certificate!
Certificate Requirements
Global Business Engagement Activity
Complete 1 activity, such as
- Baylor business study abroad
- Baylor exchange partner
- International internship
- HSB business as mission trip
- BEST international trip
- Working with a business faculty as a UGRA on a global research project (2 semesters)
Required Course
Earn 3 credit hours from any one of the following:
- BUS 3330 - Business Communication and Practices Across Cultures
- INB 3333/MGT 3335 - Doing Business Across Cultures
- INB 3305 - Global Business
- BUS 4380 or 4385 - BEST Courses
- BUS 4396 - Study Abroad Internship in Business
Elective Courses
Take any of the following courses for a total of 9 credit hours:
- Any business course taken on a Baylor study-abroad program (up to 6 credits)
- BUS 4396 – Study Abroad Internship in Business
- Any HSB course with a COIL designation (up to 9 credits)
- Any of the following HSB discipline-specific global courses (up to 9 credits):
ACC/BL – BL/INB 4320, BL/INB 4345
BUS – BUS 3330, BUS 4380, BUS 4385 (BEST section)
ECO – ECO 3331, ECO/INB 4333, ECO/INB 4334
