Office of the Dean
The Office of the Dean encompasses many aspects of the Hankamer School of Business, including Undergraduate and Graduate Programs, Faculty Research and Development, Diversity and Inclusion, and other administrative functions. The efforts of our faculty and staff are focused on three main priorities: purposeful research, experiential and innovative learning, and Christ-centered diversity.
The Business School is in a prime position as Baylor transitions into R1 Research status. Our faculty and students have made significant contributions in terms of high-quality research. While there continues to be room for growth, we continue to build a culture of support by celebrating scholarly achievements.
For our students to be prepared for their careers, our academic programs and courses should challenge them through experiential and innovative methods. Engaging with businesses and professionals in and out of the classroom provides students a hands-on experience in real-world business situations.
Diversity is a significant concern at the Business School, including both hiring and retaining faculty and staff as well as recruiting students that come from different backgrounds. Revelation 7:9 tells us that God's Kingdom includes people "from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages." We strive to reflect this passage within our culture.
The Business School continues to make lasting changes to improve the lives of those in our community, nation and the world at large with the help of our students, faculty, staff and alumni. We are excited to expand on the solid foundation built and further distinguish the reputation of the Hankamer School of Business.
