Applications Now Open for New Venture Competition
Applications are open for the 2025 New Venture Competition (NVC) at Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. The event, presented by the Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation at the Business School, allows collegiate teams of entrepreneurs from around the world to showcase their startups and compete for cash prizes.
“NVC is intentionally designed to be a transformational experience,” Program Manager Priscilla James said. “The competition provides participants with personal and professional development through industry-specific mentorship and networking with accomplished experts.”
NVC is open to teams of students and recent alumni from not-for-profit accredited universities. There is no limit to the number of teams from a single university that may apply. Further eligibility information can be found in the 2025 official guidebook.
More than 1,000 student teams from across the world have applied to compete in NVC since its initial contest. Last year, students from Brown University, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pennsylvania were among the top 10 finalists competing for more than $200,000 in cash prizes and vital resources.
The online application is open until Nov. 3. For questions or more details, email newventurecomp@baylor.edu.
