Baylor University’s Angel Network (BAN) at the Hankamer School of Business has been recognized as one of the top five most active angel groups in the nation, according to the 2024 Angel Funders Report by the Angel Capital Association (ACA).

The Baylor Angel Network is an investor network providing early-stage capital to strong entrepreneurial teams with developed products or services and early customer traction. BAN’s differentiator is the work of student analysts who gain real-world experience from their involvement.

“This is the third year in a row BAN has been ranked among the most active groups, and the fourth year in a row we have been recognized or featured by ACA,” said Steven Diedrich, the executive director of BAN. “I am grateful for the support we receive in making BAN what it is for our members involved, founders supported and students impacted.”

BAN, founded in 2009, ranked fourth in investing among the 65 reporting angel groups, and first in the State of Texas. Central Texas Angel Network out of Austin was the only other Texas angel network to crack the Top 20, ranking No. 18.

Published annually, the Angel Funders Report strives to increase awareness about angel investor activity and build a deeper understanding of the investing environment. The report provides context for seemingly disparate data points, identifies trends and highlights innovative ways that ACA members are working together to fuel the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
