Robbins Institute earns CAHME reaccreditation

The Robbins Healthcare MBA program continues to set new benchmarks in healthcare management education, showcasing excellence through significant accomplishments in 2024. From achieving a historic perfect score in CAHME reaccreditation to earning national recognition through faculty and student achievements, the program solidifies its position as a leader in healthcare education. These highlights reflect the dedication of its community to advancing the field and inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Robbins Healthcare MBA Achieves Perfect Score on CAHME Reaccreditation Site Visit

Last October, the Robbins Healthcare MBA underwent a reaccreditation site visit by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). The site visit was jointly held with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) continuous improvement review of the Hankamer School of Business. In May, we learned our program has been reaccredited for the maximum accreditation period of six years. 

The program received a perfect score with 18 of 18 standards met and two program strengths. This accreditation performance marks the Robbins Healthcare MBA as only one of four programs in CAHME’s 56-year history to achieve a perfect score and the first healthcare MBA to do so. 

Cherise Bridgwater Named Inaugural CAHME Fellow of the Year

In March 2024, Cherise Bridgwater was named the inaugural winner of the CAHME/Dr. Dolores Clement Fellow of the Year Award. The award recognizes a fellow who is nominated by other site visitors and programs visited, has a history of service as a fellow, for helping programs to succeed and demonstrates a commitment to advance the quality of healthcare management education. Bridgewater was selected by a blue-ribbon panel of CAHME master fellows out of a pool of more than 100 active fellows. 

Robbins Healthcare MBA Student, Mariam Eid, Wins ACHE Richard J. Stull Student Essay Competition

Mariam Eid, MBA ’24, a recent pre-clinical track graduate, placed first in this year’s American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Richard J. Stull Student Essay Competition in the graduate program category. The purpose of the competition is to stimulate and demonstrate the ability of future healthcare executives to identify and describe important issues and developments in their chosen profession. Her essay, titled “Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in Electronic Health Records to Mitigate Physician Burnout: A Roadmap to AI Integration into the HER,” offers insight into the potential of this technology to free up precious provider time. Eid received her award in front of a crowd of 2,000 healthcare executives during the Gintzig Commemorative Lecture and Luncheon at ACHE’s Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago.
