Baylor MBA Program to Create Advisory Council, Seeks Industry Leaders
Baylor University’s MBA program is forming an advisory council to strengthen its connection to industry and ensure graduates are prepared for today’s dynamic business environment. Guided by Baylor’s mission to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service through academic excellence and Christian commitment, the council will provide strategic guidance, share real-world insights and help shape the program’s future.
“The advisory council will be instrumental in ensuring our MBA programs, including the full-time program on campus, the executive MBA in Dallas, and our online MBA remain innovative and aligned with the needs of today’s business leaders,” said Patsy Norman, PhD, Associate Dean for Graduate Business Programs. “By partnering with experienced professionals, we can provide our students with insights that go beyond the classroom and prepare them to lead with integrity and impact.”
The advisory council is expected to launch in Fall 2026, which allows time for the program to identify and engage dedicated professionals who will offer expertise on emerging trends, technologies and leadership challenges.
We plan for the full council to meet two times per year in a mixture of in-person and virtual meetings. Sub-committees of the Council could meet at additional times. Members would be expected to help promote the Baylor MBA program in their respective business communities, recruit from the program for both full-time and internship positions, and advocate for the Baylor MBA program with prospective donor individuals, foundations and corporations.
In return, members will have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally while contributing to a program that develops principled leaders who make a global impact.
