Director's Letter
It is my honor to welcome you to this 2025 edition of our Baylor Department of Management report. As we reflect on the many blessings we have received here at Baylor, I am filled with gratitude for the steadfast support and dedication many of you have shown to our department. Your contributions have played a pivotal role in our continued growth and success, enabling us to advance our mission to fulfill God’s mandate to promote human flourishing through research, teaching and community.
In this issue, we are excited to explore the theme “BEARing Fruits of the Holy Spirit.” This theme resonates deeply with our department’s Christian values that guide our work. As we strive to equip the next generation of principled leaders, we are committed to nurturing not only their intellectual and professional development but also their spiritual growth. This includes nurturing the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We strive to form future leaders who are able to cultivate these fruits in their followers and their organizations.
Over the past two years, our department has made significant strides toward Dean Sandeep Mazumder’s priorities of scholarly impact, experiential and innovative learning, and Christ-centered diversity and belonging. We have launched new initiatives to empower women in leadership, connect our students to global business and gather Christian leaders to discuss how to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). We have challenged ourselves to innovate current courses and offer new courses that meet the needs of a rapidly changing business world. We have also grown our faculty to include new outstanding scholars and teachers who embody our mission here on campus and in their international fields.
As you read through this issue, I hope you will be inspired by the stories of our students, faculty and alumni who are living out our mission in diverse and impactful ways. Their achievements are a testament to the transformative power of a Christ-centered education.
Thank you once again for your support of our department, and we invite you to stay in touch and stay engaged with us. Together, we are bearing fruit that will last, and I am confident that, with God's grace, we will continue to flourish in the years to come.
