Army-Baylor MHA/MBA Program Earns ACHE Higher Education Network Award for Second Consecutive Year
The Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Health and Business Administration was once again honored with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Higher Education Network Award during the 2026 Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Houston on March 3.
The Higher Education Network Award recognizes one graduate program and one undergraduate program each year that demonstrate exceptional engagement with ACHE through student leadership, professional development, education and service to the healthcare management profession.
Lt. Col. Michael Frankel, Army-Baylor MHA/MBA program director, accepted the award on behalf of the program from ACHE Chair Noel Cárdenas, FACHE, during the Congress awards ceremony.
Following the presentation, Lt. Col. Frankel was joined by Lt. Col. Tiara Walz and Lt. Col. Allison Ferro in celebrating the achievement on behalf of the Army-Baylor faculty, students, residents, alumni and partners.
This marks the program's second consecutive Higher Education Network Award and 13th recognition since the award program was established in 2008, further cementing Army-Baylor's reputation as one of the most frequently recognized graduate healthcare management programs with ACHE. When including the predecessor ACHE Student Chapter Awards, the program has been recognized 21 times since 1995.
The award reflects the Army-Baylor Program's longstanding commitment to developing military and federal healthcare leaders who exemplify professional excellence, lifelong learning, service, and engagement within ACHE. It also recognizes the collective efforts of the program's students, faculty, residents, alumni, preceptors and healthcare partners, whose continued dedication strengthens both the Military Health System and the healthcare management profession.
