Erik H. Davidson has been honored with Baylor University’s Outstanding Faculty Award for 2025–2026, one of the university’s highest distinctions recognizing excellence in teaching and student impact.

This recognition reflects what many of our students experience firsthand: a professor deeply committed to their formation, growth and long-term success. Davidson brings a rare combination of clarity, rigor and genuine care to the classroom, consistently challenging students to think critically while equipping them with practical skills for their professional journeys.

Beyond the classroom, he invests intentionally in mentorship, helping students navigate both academic and career decisions with confidence and purpose. His influence extends well beyond individual courses, shaping the culture of excellence that defines our Finance program.

In addition, Davidson has been named a McBride Fellow for summer 2026 in recognition of his outstanding leadership in advancing global student engagement. In particular, his work leading the Baylor Business Singapore program reflects a strong commitment to providing transformative international experiences for students, even amid significant program demands and complexity.

These recognitions reflect both his individual excellence and the department’s broader mission: forming students who are prepared, principled and ready to lead.
