Pursue Excellence

Since I arrived at the Business School, we have had leadership that has continuously laid a foundation of support and created an environment of excellence in teaching, research and service. 

What attracted me to Baylor was the reputation for the quality of its students. They come here prepared, with a strong work ethic and a passion for Baylor. They push us as faculty members to be excellent in what we teach and model. At the same time, I encourage their excellence by having high expectations, while still letting them know I truly care about them. 

I am extremely fortunate that my real-world experiences have fueled my research. Baylor has offered me the chance to study an area that informs my students while also informing industry practice. I am blessed to work alongside colleagues who support one another in their research pursuits. 

We are called to use our gifts in service to others. To me, that shows up in all I do. To live out my calling – to lead with honesty and respect for others – underscores my Christian faith. I am very appreciative that Baylor gives me the opportunity to do that.
