The Certificate in Global Business aligns with other certificates in the business school and is primarily focused on curricular global business requirements. The Certificate in Global Engagement consists of curricular and co-curricular requirements you can meet across the university—not just in the business school.
The Certificate in Global Business requires a global business engagement activity. Also, fewer courses are required, and a wider range of courses count toward the certificate. International business is a second major with a strong economics focus.
There are no specific prerequisites for the Global Business Certificate. However, certain courses may have prerequisites that you need to fulfill.
While there is no strict deadline, we recommend planning your coursework with your academic advisor to complete the certificate requirements before your graduation date.
In order to receive the Certificate in Global Business you must be a BBA student. The certificate is not available for Business Administration minors or non-BBA students. Non-BBA students may receive the Certificate in Global Engagement as it is open to all majors across the University.
