Now Accepting the First Business Analytics Majors for Fall 2026
Don't just study the future of business, help define it. Beginning in fall 2026, you'll have the opportunity to be among the first Baylor students to complete this exciting new major.
The Business Analytics major prepares students to use data, technology and analytical tools to make informed business decisions. This major is available as a second major only and must be paired with another Hankamer School of Business major.
Program Highlights

- Focuses on data analysis, business intelligence, databases, and data visualization
- Integrates analytics applications across multiple business disciplines
- Requires a minimum grade of C in QBA 3305

- QBA 3306 – Statistical Models in Business
- QBA 4344 – Business Intelligence
- MIS 4340 – Foundations of Database Systems Development
- MIS 4360 – Fundamentals of Data Visualization
Choose from one of the following:
- ACC 4312 – Accounting Analytics
- ECO 4312 – Business Cycles and Forecasting
- MIS 3301 – Introduction to Programming
- MIS 4347 – Cloud Computing
- MIS 4357 – Artificial Intelligence: Principles and Applications
- QBA 4355 – Data Analysis Using Excel Power Tools
- MKT 4360 – Customer Analytics
