Leadership Speaker Series

The Army-Baylor MHA/MBA program is proud to host the Leadership Guest Speaker Series, a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering exceptional leadership development in our students. Throughout the entire didactic year, from the first to the fifth semester, our students have the unique opportunity to engage with senior leaders from both military and civilian sectors.

These distinguished speakers share their leadership philosophies, offering valuable insights into their experiences and strategies for success. Their presentations are designed to help our students refine and strengthen their own leadership skills, focusing on key leadership and organizational management competencies such as strategic planning, organizational design, decision-making, change management, leadership and high reliability principles.

In addition to these expert-led sessions, our program encourages instructors to create real-world learning opportunities. This includes inviting healthcare professionals to share their experiences, as well as organizing educational outings and on-location learning to give students firsthand exposure to the challenges and opportunities in healthcare organizations.

Through this dynamic speaker series and interactive experiences, we empower our students to build critical competencies in communication, interpersonal effectiveness, critical thinking, problem-solving, management, leadership and ethics – essential qualities that will support their success as future leaders in healthcare.
