Speaker Series
The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise is committed to extending an arm of support to the local, national and global business community in such a way as to facilitate new business and further the goals of established businesses. The Baugh Center purposefully builds programs that are both strategic and impactful. With that in mind, there is an intentionality to host guest speakers who will help the Center further promote its goals.
Confessions of an Entrepreneur
Confessions of an Entrepreneur brings together successful local entrepreneurs with an eclectic audience made up of Baylor students and faculty, community members and like-minded business owners. The goal of this series is two-fold: 1) to promote local business owners and 2) to show the audience that there is more than one path to successful entrepreneurship.
At a Confessions of an Entrepreneur event, speakers are given a microphone to…confess in a way that is unique and distinct from a typical classroom guest speaker format. Speakers discuss the ins-and-outs of running a business, often bringing up topics that are not usually top of mind for student entrepreneurs. These talks are innately educational but presented in a casual and sometimes entertaining manner.
Free Enterprise Forum
The Free Enterprise Forum brings academically-renowned guests to campus and invites them to speak on a wide range of topics varying from free enterprise and regulation to innovation and poverty. These industry experts provide thought-provoking conversation and stimulate engaging dialogue post talk.
