Scholarships
The Finance, Insurance and Real Estate (FIRE) department awards scholarships for students who have been accepted into the Hankamer School of Business and are majoring in Finance, Insurance or Real Estate.
Finance majors, Risk Management & Insurance majors, and Real Estate majors will be notified by email of the opening of the application process at the beginning of the spring semester. Applications should be submitted by 5:00pm on March 1st of each year. The faculty review committee will make selections based upon fit of the applicant with the requirements of the scholarships available. Scholarships will be awarded for the following academic year and recipients notified before the end of the spring semester. The scholarship application form can be accessed here. Interested students should send questions to Melissa Landrum, FIRE Department Office Manager.
To determine eligibility for need-based university scholarships, Baylor requires submission of a CSS Profile (www.cssprofile.org) as well as an annual FAFSA (www.fasfa.gov). Students who started at Baylor before summer 2019 are exempt from the CSS Profile requirement; however, they must still submit a FAFSA for need-based scholarship consideration.
