The Dean's List: Top Five Study Tips

Finals are just around the corner. Sandeep Mazumder, the William E. Crenshaw Endowed Dean of the Hankamer School of Business, shared his study tips for students to be best prepared for their exams.

5. Right-size your expectations

Try your hardest, but also remember that one text, paper or exam is not your everything. We all have bad days. The key is to learn, grow and improve.

4. Ask your professor

If you have questions or doubts about any of the topics in the material, make sure to ask your professor about it.

3. Teach others

One of the best ways to learn the material is to teach it to others, such as your classmates. If not, just pretend that you are teaching to an invisible audience.

2. Prepare ahead of time

Do not leave all your studying to the last minute. Plan it out so you spend a little time each day getting ready.

1. Make sure to rest

When I was a student, I always made sure not to study the day before the exam so that I would enter test day fully refreshed.
