Mentor Program

Goals:

• Connection—to Baylor, Business School, student groups on campus
• Conversation—values others, shared experiences of Business Scholars Program, tips and encouragement
• Community—fosters a sense of belonging
• Culture—creates a mindset of service to others, while developing leadership skills  

Expectations & Commitment of Business Scholar Mentors

• Upperclassmen Business Scholars are paired with four freshmen Scholars
• Mentors meet incoming freshmen during the Business Scholars Welcome Retreat* 
  • (*Exclusively for Business Scholars on the Friday morning of Welcome Week) 
• Mentors meet with small groups throughout the semester 
• Mentors periodically check in with their small group via text 
• Mentors attend Scholar Events with their small groups
