In this Practicum Annual Review:
"As you will see in this report, the performance of both our funds has been stellar over the past year. However, at Baylor we measure performance beyond simply financial returns. Of course, we strive for excellence in all that we do – including those financial returns. But more importantly, the skills developed in our portfolio management practicum courses are preparing our students for a lifetime of success. Students learn to think critically both at a micro level and a macro level as they consider the multitude of factors that can affect a firm's valuation. They learn to apply the principles they have been taught in previous courses in a setting that helps bring to life the uncertainties they will face in their careers. And they learn the importance of being good stewards of the resources God has entrusted them with through these practicum courses."
