Bears' Association of HR
The Bears' Association of Human Resources (BAHR) is a student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, sponsored by the Dallas HR professional chapter. Faculty advisor is Sara Perry. BAHR's mission is to empower students to grow in HR knowledge, to network with HR professionals, and to build relationships with fellow students and faculty to ultimately prepare students for success in Human Resources.
BAHR typically meets twice per month and it is open to all students. All events are designed to give you valuable information in your own professional development journey and to help you connect in meaningful ways with other students, faculty and industry partners. BAHR won a Superior Merit Award from SHRM for the past 4 consecutive years for its excellence in programming.
For more information, please contact the student officer VP of Membership, Malee Vitayapanna.
All HRM majors are automatically considered members of BAHR for no charge, as the HRM program covers the cost for its students. All other students, including pre-Business students and those in other majors who want to learn more about HRM, are invited to sign up for a membership to get full access to all HRM professional development, information and networking programs, including industry and job connections and full access to our close-knit faculty and student community. Dues are $50 for one year, or $30 for one semester. They can be paid to our Venmo account @bearsAHR. (NOTE: Financial transactions with this Venmo account is a transaction with BAHR, a student organization, and is not a transaction with Baylor University). All dues support member activities and events.
