Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training Course
The Robbins Institute for Health Policy & Leadership is pleased to offer our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training course.
This course is designed to provide an understanding of lean processes and the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) cycle of process improvement. Though examples used in the course will come mainly from healthcare, the concepts learned are applicable to any industry. Students who successfully complete all course requirements will earn a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certificate of training.
The course schedule is designed for working professionals and includes four sessions on:
- Friday, May 23, 5-9 pm
- Saturday, May 24, 8 am – 12 pm
- Friday, May 30, 5-9 pm
- Saturday, May 31, 8 am – 12 pm
The cost of the course for students and alumni is $699.
The course is taught by Professor David “Scott” Hencshel. Professor Hencshel is a Business Transformation Leader, facilitator, and teacher with over 30 years of federal government experience in healthcare leadership, business transformation, strategic planning, process improvement, change management, and education. He currently serves as the Improvement Sciences Branch Chief for the Office of Strategy Management, Defense Health Agency (DHA) and previously served as the Senior Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt and LSS Deployment Director for the US Army Medical Command, Office of The Surgeon General. He voluntarily serves as Distinguished Faculty at the Association of Aeromedical Services Safety Management Training Academy where he teaches trend analysis, strategic planning, and communication. Scott is Adjunct Faculty at Trinity University where he teaches “Healthcare Performance Improvement” into the Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) program. He also teaches LSS at the University of the Incarnate Word and the Baylor University Continuing Education Program. Scott is a certified LSS Master Black Belt, certified Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP) and a GE Healthcare trained Change Agent.
