Program and Course Information

Customizing Your Degree

The BBA in Baylor Business Fellows requires a minimum of 124 total hours which must include:

  • 36 hours at the 3000/4000 level
  • 31 hours in Business

Advisors will guide you in selecting your courses. Your progress will be evaluated annually, and committee approval will be required for graduation.

Minimum GPA

Fellows are expected to maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking at least 15 hours each semester.

Course Requirement Breakdown

Below is a detailed breakdown of the required courses.

Non-Business Courses

I. University Requirements  
Chapel 2 Semesters
II. Humanities 6 hours
Religion Courses 6 hours
  REL 1310 Christian Scriptures
REL 1350 Christian Heritage
III. Mathematics and Statistics 6 hours
Math Courses 3 hours
  MTH 1321 Calculus I (or higher)
Choose 3 hours of approved statistics course credit from inside or outside the business school. 3 hours
IV. Fourth-Semester Level Requirement 6 - 14 hours
Each Fellow will take classes at Baylor that reach the fourth-semester level in at least one of the following areas (AP and IB credit can count)  
  Mathematics, beginning with MTH 1321 (Calculus 1)
  Science, from Physics, Biology, and/or Chemistry courses that count toward a major or toward premed
  Engineering and Computer Science
  Foreign Language
V. Non-Business Electives 44-53 hours
TOTAL 53 - 64 hours + 2 Semesters of Chapel

III. Business Fellows Capstone  
  Capstone alternatives include:
BEST Program
Practicum in Portfolio Management
BAN analyst
Other programs upon prior approval
IV. Additional Business Electives 10 hours

I. Choose 29 - 40 additional elective hours, inside or outside business: 29 - 40 hours
  Goals of electives should include:
- Obtaining majors or minors from across the University
- Obtaining additional majors within the Business School
- Pursuing proficiency in a foreign language or other field of study
- Studying abroad
