Healthcare Administration Concentrations
Immunizations
Baylor requires all students to have the following routine immunizations for enrollment:
- Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) or Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (TDaP) - within 10 years
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)- two doses (both after the first birthday)
- Meningococcal Vaccine- for all entering students under age 22 (within 5 years and 10 days from the first day of class)
Although Baylor does not require additional immunizations, including for COVID-19 and influenza, students in the Robbins Healthcare MBA (healthcare administration and pre-clinical track concentrations) are encouraged to receive these vaccinations. These vaccines are available at Health Services.
Visits to healthcare facilities during the didactic portion of the program and most healthcare organizations during the administrative residency require that students are current with their immunizations, including for COVID-19 and flu. Students not current in these vaccinations will be unable to participate in certain didactic year experiences. Due to the vaccination requirement for most administrative residency sites, unvaccinated students without a medically verified exemption should expect difficulty in obtaining an administrative residency.
Criminal Background Check
Robbins Healthcare MBA (healthcare administration only concentration) students will be required to submit a criminal background check as a part of the onboarding process for the administrative residency at healthcare organizations. Please refer concerns or questions regarding the criminal background check to the Robbins Healthcare MBA leadership.
