Baylor offers Three Program Tracks in Healthcare Administration:
Administrative Residency Track
The Administrative Residency Track (ART) is designed for students who want to pursue an administrative career in health industry organizations.
The ART includes a paid, 9-month administrative residency where students complete rotations and work through high-level projects at the senior executive level in a progressive healthcare organization. Students receive guidance from their preceptor as they apply theories acquired in the MBA classroom in a real-world setting. Students complete both the classroom portion and administrative residency within 22months.
By earning an MBA via the ART, you will be prepared to manage healthcare organizations, including:

Healthcare Administration Degree Plan
Pre-Clinical Track
The Pre-Clinical Track (PCT) is designed for students who wish to understand the business side of medicine before starting a clinical career.
The PCT can be completed in one year. Eligible students include those who are competitive for entry into medical school, dental school, or physical therapy school after completion of the MBA degree.
By earning an MBA via the PCT, prior to pursuing an advanced clinical education program, you would:
- Strengthen your application for advanced clinical education programs
- Build management competencies necessary to be a future clinical executive
- Graduate from a top-tier health management program
Clinical Track
The Clinical Track (CT) is designed for students who wish to understand the business side of medicine while attending an advanced clinical degree program.
The CT can be completed in one year. Eligible students are in their third year of medical school or another advanced clinical education program, e.g. dental school, or physical therapy school. Students would take one year away from their studies in medical school to pursue the MBA degree in Healthcare Administration.
By earning an MBA via the CT, while attending an advanced clinical education program, you would:
- Build management competencies necessary to be a future clinical executive
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the business of healthcare prior to starting your clinical career
