Professional Summary
Since receiving his PhD from Indiana University in 1988, Steve Rich has published in the Journal of Finance Case Research, the Journal of Portfolio Management, American Journal of Business Education, Research in Finance, the Journal of Finance Education, the Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, the Journal of Finance Research, Financial Practice and Education and Financial Analysts Journal. For more than a decade, Rich wrote the Weekly Review for the Wall Street Journal.
While Rich enjoys researching and writing about finance, his passion is teaching finance. For most of the past decade, Rich has primarily taught FIN 3310, but has taught other courses including FIN 4360, FIN 5360, FIN 5161, FIN 5203 and FIN 4365. While teaching at Baylor, he has won numerous teaching awards and recognitions. These include Baylor’s Outstanding Teaching Award, Hankamer’s Teaching Excellence Award and the Mortar Board Circle of Achievement Award. He has served as senior fellow at the for the Academy of Teaching and Learning’s Fellows Program and has received recognitions for teaching by Alpha Tau Omega, Alpha Chi Omega, Phi Kappa Chi, Delta Delta Delta, Phi Beta Phi, Golden Key International Honor Society, Phi Beta Lambda, Alpha Kappa Psi and Chi Omega.
