Professional Summary

Brian Young, PhD, is a professor of Finance and the director of the Hodges Financial Markets Center. He earned a PhD in Finance from Arizona State University. Prior to joining Baylor in 2018, his more recent faculty positions were at Wake Forest and Southern Methodist University.

Young teaches primarily Financial Modeling, Introduction to Corporate Finance, and Advanced Corporate Finance and is the faculty advisor for the Investment and Advisory Club. He also brings significant corporate experience to the classroom having worked as a mechanical engineer and a product manager prior to joining academia.
