Professional Summary

Cesia Margarita Sanchez is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Economics. She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and was a predoctoral fellow at Harvard University. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Texas A&M University. An applied microeconomist, Sanchez’s research focuses on household dynamics, labor markets and social outcomes, with broader interests in demography and health. Her work includes analyses of how young adults’ labor market and social outcomes influence their parents’ retirement decisions. During her spare time, Sanchez loves to play board games with her family and train for triathlon events.
