Professional Summary
Chris K. Zane is a finance practitioner. He has more than 15 years of experience as a merger and acquisition practitioner and corporate finance professional. He has transactional experience as a manager at both KPMG’s Strategy and Deal Advisory practice and with Ernst & Young’s Strategy & Transactions practice. Chris provided buy/sell support, operational/financial due diligence, and supported the Master Limited Partnership (MLP) tax team. Chris focused on deal structuring, Joint Venture formation, Purchase Sale Agreements (PSAs), Asset Purchase Agreements (APAs) Transition Service Agreements (TSA), reverse TSAs, and full lifecycle M&A support. He helped clients to capture value, achieve synergies, and execute deals in excess of $50 billion. He has directed and lead transactions with Private Equity backed companies and with Fortune 500 companies. Currently he is the Chief Financial Officer for a privately held oil field services company owned by a Morgan Stanly Special Purpose Entity. Chris has held roles with progressive corporate experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, treasury, risk management and finance strategy.
Chris has experience structuring and leading financing activities using leveraged financing including asset based lending (ABA), Term Loan A&B, revolving credit facilities and mezzanine debt facilities.

Chris’ research interests are exclusively related to mergers and acquisitions- specifically evaluating transactions for free cash flow, working capital, and EBITDA multiples. Chris is interested in developing cases to highlight the full lifecycle that M&A can offer and create teaching models for students
