David “Scott” Hencshel is a business transformation leader, facilitator and teacher with more than 30 years of federal government experience in healthcare leadership, business transformation, strategic planning, process improvement, change management and education. He currently serves as the improvement sciences branch chief for the Office of Strategy Management, Defense Health Agency (DHA) and previously served as the senior Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt and LSS deployment director for the United States Army Medical Command, Office of The Surgeon General. He voluntarily serves as distinguished faculty at the Association of Aeromedical Services Safety Management Training Academy where he teaches trend analysis, strategic planning and communication. Henschel is an adjunct faculty at Trinity University, where he teaches “Healthcare Performance Improvement” in the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program. He also teaches LSS at the University of the Incarnate Word and the Baylor University Continuing Education Program. Henschel is a certified LSS Master Black Belt, certified balanced scorecard professional (BSP) and a GE Healthcare-trained change agent. He still serves as a primary instructor for many LSS Master Black Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt, and Yellow Belt courses. Henschel has facilitated the development of numerous Balanced Scorecards in remarkably diverse industries, including government healthcare, private schools and private health clinics. He is also the managing partner of Imminent Domain, LLC, a continuous process improvement training and consulting business based in San Antonio.
