Professional Summary
Haylee Beard, CFE, CPA/ABV, joined the Department of Accounting and Business Law as a clinical assistant professor in August 2019, where she has served as adjunct faculty since Fall 2014. Beard is the assessment coordinator for the department and teaches Intermediate Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Survey of Accounting courses.
After graduating summa cum laude from Baylor, Beard began her career in Dallas, Texas as a forensic accountant for KPMG, LLP’s Advisory Forensic Accounting practice. She later worked for Henry & Peters, PC in Tyler, Texas in its business valuation and forensic practice where she researched and analyzed businesses for sales price negotiation, succession planning, and tax reporting purposes. Beard continues to provide consulting services to small local businesses.
Beard serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the Waco Family YMCA and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Central Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
