James West
W.H. Smith Professor of Economics
Professional Summary
James West is currently the holder of W.H. Smith Chair and Professor of Economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan with fields in public finance and econometric theory. He is a research associate in the Economics of Education Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
Prior to joining the Baylor faculty in 2011, he was a faculty member at the U.S. Air Force Academy and Seattle University.
