Professional Summary 

John Chen, PhD, is an associate professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Prior to joining the Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation at Baylor University, he was an assistant professor of Management at the Warrington School of Business, University of Florida. Chen's research interests are twofold. First, he examines decision-making under uncertainty, which he has applied to contexts such as the lean startup, entrepreneurial teams and learning curves. Second, he focuses on technology platforms and standardization. Chen employs computational modeling in much of his work. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science and Journal of Management.
