Professional Summary
Kristen Black, MCD, CCC-SLP, began her career as a speech language pathologist. She worked in a private practice setting in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she provided speech-language pathology services to preschool and school-aged children.
She later broadened her professional skill set through her work with J. Hilburn men’s custom clothiers. She then served as a dyslexia intervention specialist and study skills teacher at Live Oak Classical School in Waco, Texas, from 2018-2023.
Since 2023, Kristen has worked at Baylor University as an academic advisor in the Hankamer School of Business, where she guides undergraduate students through academic planning, degree progression and personal development.
