Russell Rankin

Russell Rankin serves as director of marketing and communications for the Hankamer School of Business. He leads and works alongside the HSB Communications and Marketing team to develop and carry out cohesive and innovative marketing, communications and branding that advances the School’s mission, enhances its visibility and reputation, and drives engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Russell represents the Business School on the University’s Brand Council. 

Prior to joining HSB in June 2024, Russell accumulated experience in journalism, corporate communications and public relations in a variety of organizations and nonprofits in the United States and around the world. 

Russell is a proud Baylor graduate with bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Asian Studies. He also earned a master’s in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston. He has served as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media at Baylor and currently teaches a section of Business Communications (BUS 1355) at HSB.
