Professional Summary
After graduating with a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, Saman Bina, PhD, joined the industry, working as a systems analyst in the oil and gas industry. Eventually, Bina became a project controller and then a procurement officer after a few years. While working as a project procurement officer, Bina also pursued an MBA. Once she received her degree, Bina was promoted to the deputy of the planning and systems development department. Shortly after, she was invited to teach as an instructor at the Industrial Management Institute (Tehran IMI). Bina taught MBA-level courses to other executive managers, such as engineering economics and financial appraisal of projects. Later, she became the R&D project manager, which motivated her to pursue my PhD in Information Systems.
By bringing her personal experience into academia, Bina is interested in studying human factors as one of the industry's underlying issues and challenges.
