Professional Summary
Tyler Self serves as a clinical associate professor at Baylor University in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation. In this role, Self leads courses in strategy, leadership, finance and entrepreneurship. Since 2021, he has led the Business Excellence Scholarship Team (BEST Class), a year-long academic leadership cohort comprising the "leaders of leaders" within the Hankamer School of Business.
Previously, he served as the managing director at 10 52 Capital Management in Hong Kong. Prior to this position, he served as a principal of Vision Research Capital, which he co-founded in 2004. Self served as the portfolio manager of Vision Research Capital Fund, through which he oversaw all investment activity of the firm, and director of research of Vision Research Organization, where he oversaw an independent consulting service targeting institutional investors and hedge funds.
Self is active in the community, serving as chairman of Videre Microfinance Institution and as a director or advisor of various charities in the United States and abroad.
