Professional Summary
Yoo-Mi Chin is an associate professor of Economics and an associate director of the Baylor Business Fellows program. She earned her PhD in Economics from Brown University. Before joining Baylor University in 2014, she served as an assistant professor of Economics at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
As an applied microeconomist, Chin addresses global issues such as intimate partner violence, HIV/AIDS, child labor, substance abuse and mental health. She is a fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO) and has published her work in the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Population Economics, Economic Development and Cultural Change, World Development and others.
