Professional Summary
Joshua is an assistant professor of finance at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University. His research focuses on empirical asset pricing. In particular, he studies how individual investors make decisions and how these decisions can affect financial markets.
Prior to joining Baylor, Thornton earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pepperdine University and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of California, Irvine. In between degrees, Thornton worked as an actuarial associate for Health Net of California.
