Professional Summary
Jonathan Handy, PhD, CFP®, is currently a clinical associate professor of Finance at the Baylor University Hankamer School of Business. He is also the acting Finance undergraduate program director. Handy holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Alabama and has a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Handy currently teaches a variety of introductory Finance classes for the department. All of these courses have the following in common: Handy stresses the importance of sound, ethical, financial decision making and the need to understand finance at both a theoretical and mathematical level, and a practical and intuitive level. Students leave Handy’s courses as better workers and better thinkers. He believes hard work is a muscle which he has his students exercise.
