Files Family Favorite: Christmas Side Dish Au Gratin Potato Casserole

Ingredients:
- 2 lbs hash browns – thawed (suggested: Ore Ida brand)
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream (plus a small amount of milk if dry)
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 8-10 ounces grated cheddar cheese
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and place into a casserole dish.
In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups crushed corn flakes and ¼ cup melted butter.
Spread the corn flakes on top of the hash brown mix and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
